Mira Fink is a New York psychotherapist specializing in trauma, chronic illness, and women’s reproductive health. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from New York University and works with adults, teens, and kids via telehealth across New York State. Her approach is depth-oriented, integrative, and relational: she works with the body, the mind, and the relationship patterns that shape them both. That approach is informed by clinical training and her own experience with chronic illness.
Part of my focus on trauma, chronic illness, and women’s reproductive health is personal. I’ve lived with chronic illness myself. My experience isn’t a template for anyone else’s, but it taught me how much chronic illness asks of you, and what it means to keep advocating for yourself while you carry it. That experience sharpened my clinical work.
In session, I’m warm and direct. I ask real questions, and if I notice a pattern, I’ll name it. You won’t have to perform here. The work is about understanding yourself well enough to actually change things.
When I’m not in sessions, something is usually in the oven: sourdough most weekends, cookies or cinnamon rolls when the week calls for them. The rest is long walks, the beach in the off-season, a good sunset watched all the way to the end, and Tucker, who supervises none of it closely. Therapy works better when there’s a person on both sides of the screen.
